These guys write riffs, man. Good solid riffs that'll rock your socks off. Fatmate kill it yet again with a bad ass EP full of crunchy guitars and a bouncy rhythm section that'll have you nodding your head. I await the next Fatmate release with bated breath.
Favorite track: Barry's Pen.
The Penenden Heath Sessions are a collection of songs performed live in early February at Queen Bee studio during a University open day. What you hear is us playing to a crowd of anxious/disgusted parents and young pubescent teens on the other side of a large pane of glass... (we are the filthy lab rats). The session was also being treated as a rehearsal as we had a gig the day after in Coventry (one of our best to date!).
This is not a complete offering of where we are now - but rather a snapshot in time where - on this particular weekend in February, these were the songs we were playing. The latest songs written were the two instrumentals - hence 50% of the EP being pure, relentless RIFF.
The production has been left raw and real. Apart from a few overdubs, the tracks lay us bare to the bone; true to how we sound up front and personal. We hope you enjoy what we've been up to, and a gargantuan thankyou to everyone for their continued support ~~~
